AL SCHAAP | Senior Pastor
Al has been serving as Senior Pastor at Gateway for 38+ years. He has been married to his lovely wife (Joelene) for 47+ years and has two children, six grandchildren & one in heaven. Al provides leadership to the staff, as well as the deacons and elders at Gateway. He enjoys preaching on Sundays and casting vision for the future. In his spare time, you might find Al having coffee with folks, traveling with his wife, or working in his yard.

DYLAN HARPER | Lead Pastor
Dylan was born and raised in Southern Ontario, Canada and didn't meet Jesus until his mid-twenties. God quickly called him into ministry and he has since served several churches in Ontario and West Michigan. He's been madly in love with his wife, Jessica, for 9+ years and they're blessed with one daughter, Brooklyn. Dylan is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the world and raising up disciples to do the same. When he's not studying or meeting with people for coffee, you can find him on dates with his wife or daughter, running or playing hockey (soon to be baseball), and scrolling through the newest released music.

MARK HUMPHREYS | Executive Pastor
Mark joined the staff at Gateway in the Fall of 2014. He has been married to his wife (Lisa) for 42 years and has three children and eight grandchildren. Mark also maintains his real estate license. In his spare time, you would find Mark spending time with his family, or enjoying a round of golf with friends.

KEVIN BORGES | College / Young Adults & Small Groups Pastor
Kevin joined the Gateway staff in the Summer of 2016. He is married to Tammy, who is his greatest cheerleader and wife of 30 years, and together they have three daughters, two son-in-laws, and two grand babies! Kevin loves to help others know the Lord and become faithful followers of Jesus. In his free time you may find him out fly fishing, golfing or even enjoying yard work.

ISAAC PARRA | Student Ministries Pastor
Isaac leads the Middle School and High School ministries at Gateway. He has over 25 years of experience leading students and his personal mission is to love them closer to Jesus. In his spare time you'll find him hanging out with his wife Jen, and their children Kaleb and Noah. He also loves movies, having meals with people and theme parks!

KENDRA SINGER | Children’s Ministry Pastor (Elementary/Preteen)
Kendra has worked in Christian Education for 32 years. She is married, has 3 amazing children and 2 adorable grand babies. She believes that everyone should have a role in the spiritual upbringing of children. In her free time, you would likely find Kendra spending time with her family.

ALISA PHILLIPS | Children’s Ministry Pastor (Early Childhood)
Alisa has over 30 years experience working with children and teaching preschool. She is married and has 3 boys. Alisa believes that as a Christian Educator her primary goal is to bring a child to the knowledge of Christ and then help them grow in their trust in Him and His word. In her free time you will find her spending time with her family, most likely at one of her children's sporting events.

HANNAH BORGES | Worship Pastor
Hannah began attending Gateway Church when she was a sophomore in high school in 2015. She went away for 4 years to attend college at William Jessup University, and graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology in April 2022. Hannah has volunteered with the worship team every chance she’s gotten because she's always had a heart for worship. She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, cooking and baking, being outside, and listening to music whenever she can.

Alysa works in our front office during the week. She takes pride in her work, and has enjoyed being on staff at Gateway since she was 16 years old. When not working, you would likely find her spending time with her amazing family.

Stephanie has been with Gateway since 2008, and has been the EduCare director for 6 years. From a young age she has always had a heart for working with children and watching them grow to know Jesus. In her spare time you will find Stephanie camping and spending time with her husband Chad, and their two awesome children.

CHARLENE ASHLOCK | Administrative Assistant
Charlene joined the Gateway staff in December 2016. 21 years ago she made Gateway her church home. Gateway has her heart and she looks forward to greeting everyone who comes in the front office. She’s engaged to Joe Ward. Together they share 3 awesome children, 2 daughters and one son, and a grand baby! In her spare time if any, you will find her spending as much time as she can with her loving family.

AMAIRANI MITTEN | Communications & Media Director
Amairani and her husband, Quentin, began to attend Gateway in November of 2018 after getting married in October. Prior to that, she had obtained her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and was involved in missional ministry in the Middle East for a year. Amairani then began to volunteer-help in creating graphics for Gateway and then soon joined the team in August of 2020. She enjoys traveling to new places, watching tv shows, home-decor and loves anything Christmas-related!

BRACHEN MILLIKAN | Facilities Manager
Brachen started attending Gateway in 2006. He has been married to Katie for 10 years and they are a blended family with 5 children. He loves serving and is often called a jack-of-all-trades. When he’s not at church, you’ll probably find him working on a project at their shared family hobby farm. For fun, he likes watching movies or playing the occasional video game.
